Gardiner resident Jermyn becomes Cross Insurance VP

Eric Jermyn, of Gardiner, has been hired by Cross Insurance as its vice president of business development for Cross Employee Benefits.

Jermyn will be based in Portland, where he’ll be responsible for leading Cross Employee Benefits’ sales efforts, according to a news release from the company.

Jermyn is an insurance industry veteran who previously worked in Cross Employee Benefits from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine, where he was recently the company’s director of large group sales. For most of his insurance career, Jermyn has worked in partnership with Cross and other brokers in the state, according to the release.

Jermyn has served on the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce board since 2010 and was elected chamber board chairman for 2016. He also is the vice chairman and finance committee chairman for School Administrative District 11, which consists of Gardiner, Pittston, Randolph and West Gardiner.

Jermyn is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, with a bachelor of arts degree in humanities and social science. He lives in Gardiner with his wife, Kathie, and their two children

Stover joins Perry, Fitts, Boulette and Fitton CPAs

Perry, Fitts, Boulette and Fitton CPAs, located in Bath and Oakland, recently hired Lynn Stover to help further develop firm growth in the midcoast region.

Stover comes with a wealth of experience within the industry, having spent the last 17 years working for an accounting practice in midcoast Maine. She graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta with a bachelor of science degree and earned her master of science degree in taxation from the Washington School of Law in Salt Lake City, Utah. There, she graduated with a 3.9 grade-point average and passed the entire Uniform CPA examination in her first sitting.

She joins PFBF CPAs as a senior tax-certified public accountant and will be key in the continuation of the firm’s successes while providing tax planning and preparation services to businesses and individuals.

Stover has three grown children and resides in Boothbay Harbor with her husband of more than 30 years.
