HALLOWELL — Logan Peacock scored four goals — all coming in the first period — as the Gardiner hockey team rolled to a 6-0 victory over the Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard Beach co-op Wednesday afternoon at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault.

Jake Folsom and Ryan Kelley also scored for Gardiner (8-2-1), which jumped into first place in Class B South with the victory.

Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard Beach dropped to 5-6-0.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MESSALONSKEE 50, HAMPDEN 31: Sophie Holmes scored 22 points to lead the Eagles in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game in Oakland.

Ally Turner added 11 points for Messalonskee (11-2). Marissa Gilpin led Hampden (8-5) with seven points.

MT. BLUE 54, CONY 43: Caitlin Kane scored 28 points to lead the Cougars to the KVAC A win in Augusta.

Eryn Doiron added 12 points for Mt. Blue (4-7). Cate Silva led Cony (2-10) with 25 points.

FOREST HILLS 46, PINE TREE 22: Caitlin Logston scored 16 points to lead Forest Hills to an East/West Conference win over Pine Tree Academy in Jackman.

Linda Riley added 13 points for the Tigers (11-4).

RICHMOND 48, HYDE 37: Sydney Tilton scored 11 points and Ashley Abbott added 10 to lead the Bobcats in Bath.

Tilton also finished with 10 rebounds and six steals. Kelsea Anair also had a big night for Richmond (9-2) with six points, three assists and four rebounds.

Diamond Brown led all scorers with 16 points for Hyde (4-9).

MOUNT VIEW 40, BELFAST 17: Jenni Nadeau scored 12 points and Halle Reynolds added 11 to lead the Mustangs in Thorndike.

Andrea Crosby added eight points for Mount View (4-8) as well.

Belfast dropped to 1-11.

BOYS BASKETBALL

MT. BLUE 77, CONY 71 (OT): Zack Mittelstadt scored a game-high 36 points and Mt. Blue made 8-of-10 from the free throw line in overtime to pull out a KVAC A victory in Farmington.

Evan Backus added 20 points for the Cougars (2-11) while Cooper Hollingsworth chipped in with nine.

Tim Cusick scored 26 points and Jordan Roddy added 19 to pace the Rams (5-8).

HAMPDEN 71, MESSALONSKEE 53: Jack Black made six of seven 3-pointers and scored all 18 of his points in the first half as Hampden Academy opened a 12-point halftime lead and pulled away from Messalonskee in Hampden.

Nick Gilpin added 15 points for the Broncos (12-0). Nathan Violette poured in 18 points to lead the Eagles (9-4), while James Lathrop added 16 points.

KENTS HILL 71, GOULD ACADEMY 33: Luke Arsenault scored 19 points to lead the Huskies. Trevor Guity added 17 points for Kents Hill, which improved to 5-5.

FOREST HILLS 59, PINE TREE 47: Freshman Dalton Gregoire scored 19 points and had six assists to help Forest Hills earn an important Class D win.

With the win, the Tigers (6-9) jumped from 10th place in the Class D South standings to sixth, and into the playoffs. Aaron Moffitt scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Forest Hills, while Jack Hoyt also had 15 boards for the Tigers.

Alex Milano led Pine Tree (8-3) with 14 points.
