SKOWHEGAN — The Lawrence boys basketball team outscored Skowhegan 15-9 in the third quarter and then hung on for 58-50 victory in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A victory Saturday night.

Kyle Robinson scored 21 points to lead Lawrence (7-7) while Mason Cooper added 19 and Seth Powers 14.

Isaac Witham scored 21 points for Skowhegan (6-7). Brendan Curran chipped in 14 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

BOOTHBAY 27, CARRABEC 20: Boothbay held the Cobras scoreless for the third quarter to take the Mountain Valley Conference win.

Paige Brown led Boothbay (13-1) with 18 points. Kate Stevens paced Carrabec (8-6) with 10 points.

GARDINER 53, MARANACOOK 25: Lauren Chadwick had 15 points and five steals to pace the Tigers to the win in Readfield.

Mary Toman added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Gardiner (11-2) while Heidi Owen and Anna Toman chipped in eight apiece.

Maranacook (0-13) was led by Lauren Clough with nine points.

RICHMOND 52, BUCKFIELD 20: McKenzie Abbott had 13 points, six rebounds and three steals to pace the visiting Bobcats to the East/West Conference win.

Caitlin Kendrick added 11 points, three assists and three rebounds for Richmond (10-2) while Sydney Tilton chipped in with six points and 12 rebounds.

Alexis Bennett scored six points to pace Buckfield (5-10).

MT. BLUE 40, ERSKINE 33: Eryn Doiron scored 12 points to spark the Cougars to the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Caitlin Kane added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists for Mt. Blue (5-7).

Erskine (4-8) was led by Ally Bonsant and Mallory Chamberlain with eight points each.
