PRESQUE ISLE — Caitlin LaFountain posted a double-double as the University of Maine-Augusta cruised to a 72-31 victory over University of Maine-Presque Isle on Sunday.

LaFountain scored 18 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to go with three steals. Richmond’s Jamie Plummer added 19 points and six rebounds to help the Moose (15-6) dominate the glass by a 48-23 margin. Janae Libby led UMPI with eight points.

VERMONT TECH 64, UNITY 29: Mikaela Farmer scored 25 points to lift Vermont Tech to a win over Unity in Unity.

Zoe Picanso led Unity (0-10) with 10 points, while Micheala Devogt, of Waterville, added nine points off of the bench.

WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY

NEW HAMPSHIRE 3, MAINE 0: New Hampshire’s Kyra Smith made 32 saves in net to secure a shutout win over the University of Maine in Orono.

Carlee Toews, Cassandra Vilgrain and Sara Carlson scored for the Wildcats (10-16-1, 7-10-0 Hockey East). Mariah Fujimagari made 21 saves and Meghann Tracy made nine stops while spilling time in net for the Black Bears (7-18-0, 3-14-1).

MEN’S BASKETBALL

UMAINE-PRESQUE ISLE 78, UMAINE-AUGUSTA 54: The University of Maine-Presque Isle had five players reach double figures in scoring and pulled away from University of Maine-Augusta in Presque Isle.

Chase Vicaire, Brandon McGill and Derek Healy scored 13 points apiece to lead the Owls (10-9). Lawrence alumnus Keith Chesley led all scorers with 26 points and seven rebounds for the Moose (10-11).

UNITY 82, VERMONT TECH 75: Sean Tocci poured in a game-high 36 points to lead Unity to victory over Vermont Tech in Unity.

Eddie Kopacz and Hunter Engel added 17 points apiece for Unity (4-7).
