ROCKLAND — Maine Authors Publishing and Cooperative will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at 558 Main St. Writers and authors who have published, have never published before, or are interested in knowing more about what happens at a local, independent press are encouraged to come.
Maine Authors Publishing has been working to support self-publishing and independent authors for the past six years by offering professional and affordable services, from editing to distribution.
Jane Karker, president of Maine Authors Publishing, will talk about what the organization does for independent writers and about new courses the company will sponsor to further meet its mission. Their publicist/managing editor will be present, along with Lee Heffner, a writing coach. Refreshments will be served.
The organization works with independent authors to get their books published and in the hands of readers.
