Maine gasoline prices dropped 5.4 cents last week, bringing the statewide average to $1.92 per gallon.
The decrease was even more dramatic nationally, where a drop of 6.5 cents brought the average to $1.82, according to the gas website GasBuddy.
The Maine price is the result of a survey of 1,228 gas outlets in Maine.
Monday’s new average reflects a per-gallon decrease of 19.6 cents from one year ago in Maine.
