WINSLOW — After falling trailing by nine points at halftime, the Winslow boys basketball team outscored Maine Central Institute 36-17 in the second half to pull out a come-from-behind 65-55 victory Tuesday night.

Justin Burgher scored 11 of his 14 points in the second half for Winslow (9-6). Spencer Miranda led the offense with 16 points while Dylan Hutchinson added 13.

MCI (6-9) was led by Dillon Fitts with 19 points, Josh Buker with 15 and Tre Grier with 13.

ERSKINE 58, MORSE 48: Noah Bonsant had 11 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Eagles to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in South China.

Josh Reed added 18 points for Erskine (4-10) while Matt Clary chipped in 11.

Keegan McDonough scored a game-high 20 points to lead Morse (4-10).

MESSALONSKEE 59, NOKOMIS 45: The Eagles jumped out to a 24-15 halftime lead and never looked back on their way to the KVAC A win in Newport.

Nathan Violette had 16 points and three steals for Messalonskee (10-5) while James Lathrop added 10 points. Sawyer Michaud chipped in with four points, eight assists and three steals as well.

Brad Allen scored 13 points and Zach Hartsgrove added 10 to lead Nokomis (3-11).

LEAVITT 61, MT. BLUE 47: Billy Bedard scored 16 points to lead the Hornets to the KVAC win in Turner.

Max Green added 14 points for Leavitt (2-13).

Zack Mittelstadt scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Cougars (3-11) while Evan Backus chipped in 13.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

MADISON 48, WINTHROP 31: Kayla Bess scored 19 points to go along with seven rebounds as the Bulldogs prevailed in a Mountain Valley Conference game in Madison.

Madeline Wood scored 12 points and Lauren Hay added nine for Madison (10-5) as well.

Emily Oliver and Erin Whalen each pulled down six rebounds.

Bri McClure scored 10 points to pace the Ramblers (2-13).

RANGELEY 52, PINE TREE 35: Blayke Morin had a double-double (24 points, 13 rebounds) and Natasha Haley had seven points, six assists and four rebounds as the Lakers rolled in Freeport.

Sydney Royce scored eight points for Rangeley (14-1) as well.

Alex Goodman scored 20 points to lead Pine Tree (9-7).

MT. BLUE 56, LEAVITT 38: Caitlin Kane scored a game-high 33 points to lead the Cougars in Farmington.

Eryn Doiron added 11 points for Mt. Blue (7-7).

Sophia Gilbert scored 15 points for Leavitt (7-8).

SKOWHEGAN 47, WATERVILLE 41: Tracey Swanson scored 12 points to lead a balanced Skowhegan offense in a KVAC A win over the Panthers.

Lindsey Warren added 10 points for Skowhegan (6-8). Fotini Shanos led Waterville (7-8) with 17 points, while Jordan Jabar added 13.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 26, MOUNT VIEW 24 (2OT): Alex Bessey scored seven points and Hanna St. Pierre added six to lead the Phoenix (5-9) in Thorndike.

Jenni Nadeau scored 11 points to lead the Mustangs (5-9).

ST. DOMINIC 49, MT. ABRAM 46: Allie Veinote scored 18 points and Chloe Dwinell added 15 points to pace the Saints in an MVC game in Auburn.

Alora Ross scored 19 points to lead the Roadrunners (4-11).
