A Phillips man accused of leaving the scene of an accident in December and indicted this month on a variety of charges related to a July domestic assault is being sought by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

There is an active warrant out for the arrest of Sean Haley, 32, on charges of violating conditions of release, operating after suspension and leaving the scene of a property damage crash, Sheriff Scott Nichols said Wednesday.

The warrant was approved by the Franklin County district attorney’s office following a Dec. 21 accident, Nichols said.

Franklin County deputies have been looking for Haley in Rangeley, Anson, Madrid, Avon and Phillips.

“We’re tracking him all over,” Nichols said.

Haley, formerly of 231 Fish Hatchery Road, Madrid, was indicted by a Franklin County grand jury last week for separate charges he faces following a July 31 incident.

On July 31, Haley was charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, domestic violence assault, obstructing report of a crime or injury, unlawful possession of a scheduled drug and refusing to submit to arrest.

According to indictment documents, Haley allegedly “intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly” caused bodily injury to a woman who was a family or household member. Haley allegedly threatened the woman with a firearm.

The documents also state that Haley allegedly obstructed reporting of the crime by blocking access to communication devices to prevent the woman from reporting the incident to law enforcement.
