WATERVILLE — Spectrum Generations will hold its 18th annual Gene and Lucille Letourneau Ice Fishing Derby Sunday, Feb. 28, to benefit Meals on Wheels and other programs that help older and disabled adults live healthy, happy and independent lives.

The event brings folks of all ages from all over surrounding communities to compete for multiple prizes including first and second place prizes for adults and first, second and third places for children with 8-10 fish categories depending on the age group.

The weigh-in station will be open 2-5 p.m. outside the Muskie Community Center, 38 Gold St. A live auction will immediately following. Inside activities will be available for those who want to warm up. Food and beverages will be served by Cohen on the Meadows catering as well as Courtney’s Famous Hotdogs. There will also be an activity center for children.

Tickets to enter cost $3 each, $5 for two or $10 for five. Each ticket purchased entitles participants to enter one fish in the competition. The ticket is also good for one entry for a door prize, a Cabela’s pop-up Ice Shack, along with more prizes to be announced.
