Eight people were arrested and some $15,000 worth of illegal drugs as well as three handguns were seized by authorities during a search Friday night at a home at 38 Whitehouse Road in Vassalboro.

The same house was the scene of a shooting four years ago.

Investigators from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Saturday that the raid was the culmination of undercover purchases of heroin and crack from the house.

During the raid, agents seized 28 grams of heroin, 65 grams of crack or cocaine base, 25 grams of powdered cocaine, 15 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and $2,000 in cash believed to be connected to drug sales, according to the release.

Police said those arrested and charged were:

• Richard “Stash” Baker, 34, of New York City, who was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in heroin and crack cocaine and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He is being held at the Kennebec County jail in lieu of $60,000 bail.
