In anticipation of its busy spring season, Home Depot is hiring 450 part-time and seasonal workers in Maine.

The mass hiring is part of a nationwide effort to scale up Home Depot staff by 80,000, the company said. Available jobs include cashier, sales and online order fulfillment. Such jobs generally pay between $9 and $10 an hour, according to a survey of more than 8,000 Home Depot employees by Glassdoor.com.

The home products retailer has 11 Maine locations: Auburn, Augusta, Bangor, Biddeford, Ellsworth, North Windham, Portland, Rockland, South Portland, Topsham and Waterville.
