The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will hold a Dance-athon at 6 p.m. Friday, March 18, at the Rangeley Lakes Regional School. The all-night event will end at 6 a.m. Saturday, March 19. There will be prizes and special awards for dancers, as well as music, dancing and special events for both participant and spectator.

Dancers need to raise a minimum of $100 in pledges to participate. The winner (the last dancer standing) in each age group will receive half of their pledge amount back. Age groups are 14-21, 21-35 and everyone else. The more pledges raised, the greater the winner’s prize. Additional prizes will be given for Best Dressed, Best Dance moves and more.

General admission cost is $5.

Pledge forms are available at RLRS, at the Chamber of Commerce and complete information and forms can be downloaded from http://www.rangeleyarts.org. All funds raised will be used to support youth arts programs in the Rangeley region.
