AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library will host an educational lecture on toxics in everyday life at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18. The free program will be held in the program room of Lithgow’s temporary quarters at the Ballard Center, 6 East Chestnut St.

Physicians for Social Responsibility will present “Toxic Matters,” a 30-minute lecture, including a Q&A. This informative presentation’s purpose is to give participants a sense of empowerment for their own health and toxic prevention, with regard to the home, workplace and community. This program was developed by the Program of Reproductive Health and the Environment at the University of California, San Francisco.
