The Waterville Senior High School Music department will present a world music concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Waterville Senior High School.
Srinivas Krishnan, a master percussionist from India, will be in residence at the high school teaching students music from all over the world during the week of Feb. 22. The culminating concert will include students from band, chorus and orchestra and other Waterville Senior High school ensembles. In addition, community members and Colby College students will join in the performance.
Srinivas Krishnan is a Master Percussionist from India and has been trained under four master musicians in India.
Srinivas was also supported by a grant from Remo Inc. to promote World Music at Miami University.
Srinivas Krishnan M.S., M.En., has his degrees in areas of the science, engineering and management from Miami University.
