OAKLAND — Eastern Maine Medical Center released no information Friday on the condition of a woman who was critically injured Thursday afternoon in a single-car accident on Oak Street.

Jaclyn Rutherford, 27, of Madison, was injured about 1:40 p.m. when she lost control of the Dodge Neon she was driving and it crashed into a roadside ditch. Rutherford was the car’s only occupant.

Rutherford was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment of severe head trauma, according to Sgt. Peter Tibbetts, from the Oakland Police Department.

Kris Currier, a communications specialist for the hospital, said Friday that she had no information about Rutherford, which could mean she was not a patient at the hospital or she had not consented to the hospital releasing information about her condition.
