Full Moon Hike 6 p.m. in Biddeford

The Eastern Trail Alliance will lead a full moon hike this week. Meet the group at the rear of the Southern Maine Health Care parking lot. The group will walk, snowshoe or cross country ski, depending on trail conditions. The hike should last an hour and a half. No cost, all welcome. Leave your flashlight and pets at home. Owl Prowl 6:30 p.m. in Jefferson

Join Midcoast Conservancy naturalist Lynne Flaccus for a walk through the woods under a full moon at Hidden Valley Nature Center. The length of the walk will be determined based on weather but will be appropriate for most ages. Meet at the gate just before 6:30 p.m. There is a suggested $5 donation. Birding in Texas 7 p.m. in Brunswick

Join Merrymeeting Audubon for a program on birding along the upper Texas coast. Texas boasts barrier islands, coastal marshes, prairies, southern pine forests and nearly 500 bird species. Animal Tracking 10 a.m., Feb. 27, in Appleton

The Georges River Land Trust is leading an animal tracking expedition at its Appleton Preserve in Appleton. Sandie Sabaka, a Maine Master Naturalist and Christine Parrish, a local nature writer from Lincolnville, will lead the walk. The Appleton Preserve is a 124-acre property set along the banks of the St. George River. The river banks serve as a highway for wildlife through the winter months. Meet at the industrial building parking lot on Route 131, just north of the St. George River bridge. Dress warmly and bring a snack. No cost, all welcome. For more information, call 594-5166.
