FARMINGTON — Youth Art Month Exhibition, a display of artwork from students in grades K-eight in Regional School District 9, will be on display March 4 through April 2 at Upcountry Artists Gallery, 161 Main St., according to a news release from the gallery.

An opening reception is set for 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 11.

The show coincides with National Youth Art, which has been observed since, and in Maine demonstrates how schools are shaping young artists.

More than 60 pieces of art have been submitted by all four RSD 9 art teachers Kim Jacques, Danielle Garrett, Diane Kuntz and Janet Plouffe. Each teacher was asked to submit up to 15 pieces, including 3-D works, for a total show count of 60 pieces.
