A benefit supper is set for 4-6 p.m., March 8. at Red Barn Restaurant in Augusta. The fundraiser, sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America members, will benefit the Wildlife Care Center, a nonprofit operated by Don and Carleen Cote in Vassalboro.
The full menu will be available at regular prices. Red Barn will donate 50 percent of the proceeds during that time. Freewill cash donations will also be accepted then or at Patrick Linehan’s Modern Woodmen of America, 26 Main St. suite 101, Oakland, ME 04963. Make checks payable to Modern Woodmen Chapter 15352; reference Wildlife Center Fundraiser.
Money raised, up to $2,500, will be matched by Modern Woodmen’s home offic, through the fraternal benefit society’s Matching Fund Program. The funds will be used to purchase food, materials, medication, medical supplies, and other items for the injured animals the center rehabilitates.
