Strong will hold elections for two selectmen’s seats, a fire chief and two school board directors Friday in advance of Saturday’s Town Meeting.

Polls will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Forster Memorial Building. Town Meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, also in the Forster Memorial Building.

Running uncontested and seeking re-election are school board directors Loretta Deming and Jessie Stinchfield, Fire Chief Duayane Boyd and Selectman Mike Pond. Strong resident Rob Elliott is running uncontested for the seat vacated by Selectman Milton Baston.

On Saturday, residents will vote on a 64-article warrant with a proposed budget of $572,543. The proposed budget is lower than last year’s $624,884 budget.
