AUGUSTA — Police continued searching Sunday for a suspect who robbed the Quick Mart on lower Western Avenue Saturday evening.
Images from a surveillance camera show an individual in a hooded winter jacket that appears to be blue and black.
The report of an armed robbery came in at 6:19 p.m., according to the call log.
The Augusta Police Department posted images of the suspect on its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/AugustaMainePoliceDepartment.
The convenience store, which also has gas pumps, was open as usual on Sunday.
The store was also the scene of a robbery in January 2015.
Sgt. Daniel Boivin said Sunday that police were at the scene Saturday night for about two hours and brought in a tracking dog to try to trace the suspect who fled on foot.
“It remains under investigation,” he said.
