Forty Mid-Maine Technical Center students competed in 25 competitions at the SkillsUSA Championships. The competitions were hosted by Eastern Maine Community College and United Technology Center in Bangor. More than 700 students representing 23 career and technical schools throughout the state participated.

The championships is sponsored annually by the Maine Chapter of SkillsUSA. The Gold Medal winners will represent the state in the National SkillsUSA Championships held June 20-24 in Louisville, Kentucky.

State gold medalists: Kyle Robinson, automotive service technology, Lawrence; Hillary Libby, cabinetmaking, Winslow; Brad Carver and Calvin Holmes, digital cinema production, Messalonskee; and Nathaniel Clowes, precision machining technology, Waterville.

State Silver Medalists: Davis Warren, carpentry, Messalonskee; Harley Fitch, commercial baking, Winslow; Samantha Pomerleau, medical terminology, Winslow; and Nick Bragg, precision machining, Waterville.

State bronze medalists: Tyler Pooler, automotive tool ID, Winslow; Shelby Christianson, first aid/CPR, Messalonskee; Jamie Maroon, preschool teaching assistant, Waterville; Kohl Gilbert, digital photography, Waterville; Michaela Bolduc and Brayden Paine, television (video) production, Waterville/Messalonskee; and Chyanne Bizier and Taylor Ripley, wedding cake design, Winslow/ Messalonskee.
