More than 500 thespians from 18 Maine high schools will compete on Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19, at the Maine Drama Festival State Finals. Eight schools from class A will compete at Camden Hills Regional High School, and 10 class B schools will compete at Stearns High School. The finalists will compete to represent Maine at the New England Drama Festival in April.
Admission will cost $8 for adults, $5 for students/seniors for each session. No advance ticket sales and no admission once a performance has begun.

The plays at the state finals were selected by judges at each of the nine regional festivals on March 4-5.
The annual event is sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association and the Maine Drama Council.
One school from each state final will be selected to represent Maine at the New England Drama Festival set for April 21-23 at Old Saybrook High School in Connecticut.
