A pundit recently quipped that the presidential race might come down to “who can convince voters to hate them less.” It troubles me that politics in America has deteriorated so drastically that “hate” has so permeated the national lexicon.

Why I remain proud and steadfastly committed to the campaign being waged by Bernie Sanders. I’m under no illusion that a “democratic socialist” will readily clutch the nomination. I hope I’m wrong, as my wife often reminds me. But Sanders will certainly affect the platform — if indeed, Hillary Clinton wishes to galvanize a formidable, intelligent consensus to counter the angry, seething mob seeking to storm the Bastille come November.

Rather, Sanders’ peaceful “revolution” has inarguably taken root with younger voters. And it — like they — will only grow stronger, taller and will flourish in the future. Today’s political climate is surely providing plenty of fertilizer.

Like Sanders, I believe Wall Street savages are guilty as sin. The insane, inane invasion of Iraq was a disaster of unequivocal proportion based on the unconscionable, evil lies of equally evil men.

Our universal health care system will continue to undergo revisions, insuring — and assuring — a fair shot at improved health for everyone by understanding how to achieve it in our obese, Doritos-driven, cheese-dip democracy.

Free college? Whoa … how ’bout a guaranteed opportunity to learn a useful trade (unlike college-bred hedge-fund managers or lobbyists), so as to be able to earn a living, feed a family and pay a fair share of taxes? ather than a “right,” education should be a reward for resolving to working hard, play by the rules — and be grateful.

America’s always been great. But lately we’ve been duped and intoxicated by greed, corruption and vicious vulgarity spewed by self-absorbed narcissistic gasbags posing as viable candidates.

Enough already, huh?
