Chesterville residents approved a 49-article warrant and an $842,999 budget Monday night at their Town Meeting.

Town Clerk Heather Wheeler said 78 residents turned out at the Chesterville Town Office for the meeting.

Voters approved every article on the town warrant, including an article asking for $9,000 in funding for cemetery maintenance. For the first time in recent years, this included $5,000 to go toward headstone restoration. It is intended that money be put aside each year for stone restoration, Wheeler said.

Also approved was $100,000 for road maintenance. At the meeting, residents were told that priority projects for 2016 included maintenance to Zions Hill Road and Chesterville Hill Road. Maintenance will be done on Borough Road if money is available for it.
