I am writing to voice my observations and protest the attack that the magazine Mother Jones has put on the animal sanctuary DEW Haven in Mount Vernon.
I visited DEW Haven last summer with my son and grandchildren, and it was educational and well-maintained. It is obvious how much the animals love the owners, Bob and Julie Miner.
I have visited zoos, marine parks, refuges and other sanctuaries all over in different states. I have never seen such a well-kept and touching display of the animals love for their owners. It’s a wonderful place and I hope more people will visit this summer. Thank you DEW Haven! We love you!
