One northbound lane of Interstate 295 in Richmond was closed for about 90 minutes Thursday night after a car went into the median strip and crashed into a stand of trees, said Maine State Police.

Trooper Bethany Robinson said a woman was driving alone in a four-door sedan when it went off the road around 7:30 p.m. Robinson said police kept one lane of traffic moving.

Both lanes reopened at 9 p.m. The woman, whose name is not being released, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to MaineGeneral hospital in Augusta.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
