The ninth annual Central Maine Strongman Show was held on Saturday at the Augusta Armory. Forty-nine competitors, including 28 women — the most in the event’s history — showed up to test their physical and mental prowess. Proceeds for the event benefit the Kennebec Cannons, a youth lacrosse program in Augusta.
