DAMARISCOTTA — An AARP Smart Driver Seminar is set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center, 521 Main St. The seminar is co-sponsored by the center and the American Association of Retired Persons and Lincoln County TRIAD.

This program is a driver refresher course designed to meet the needs of older drivers. It covers such issues as age-related physical changes, declining perceptual skills, local driving problems, license renewal requirements and more, according to a news release from the center.

AARP instructor Joyce Polyniak will teach the course. Class size is limited to the first 15 community members 50 and older who register. Cost is $20 for the program or $15 for AARP members with cards. Participants who successfully complete the course may be eligible for a reduction in automobile insurance premiums.

There is a half-hour break scheduled for brown bag lunch. To register, call 563-1363.
