BOSTON — Chris Harmon of Portland and Sheri Piers of Falmouth were the top Maine finishers in the 120th running of the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Harmon, 28, finished 97th overall in 2 hours, 38 minutes, 22 seconds. It was his second marathon.

Piers, 44, finished 29th among women in 2:52:25 and placed fourth among masters women. However, because prize money is allocated only to those in the elite field, Piers moved up to third place among the masters and earned $2,500.

Michael Westphal of Cranberry Isles finished in 3:40:54. Westphal, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a decade ago, completed the Boston Marathon for the first time in 30 years.
