Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Miller of Augusta are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Alex Miller, to Nicole Jawanmardi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Firdaussi Jawanmardi of Sugar Land, Texas.
Alex proposed to Nicole on February 26, 2016 while skiing at Sugarloaf Ski Resort. The couple met while skiing in Deer Valley, Utah in April 2011.
Nicole graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences and from the University of Texas Health Science Center with a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Healthcare Management and is employed as a Project Manager at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center.
Alex is a 2006 graduate of Lawrence High School. Alex graduated from St. Michael’s College in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and from the University of Houston with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science in 2014. He is currently an Environmental Consultant at Edge Engineering and Science.
A May 2017 wedding is planned at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and The Houstonian in Houston, Texas.
