My uncle, Joseph Query, crafted the statue of Joshua Chamberlain at Bowdoin College in Brunswick. The Civil War 150 years ago was to free the slaves. Obviously we were created equal no matter what color we are, since we’ve had a black president for two terms in a row.

So far as I can see, Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, is the only one that doesn’t agree with the president’s choice for the Supreme Court. Is the Civil War over yet? The Supreme Court needs a replacement about as often as the Catholic pope, so thank God the Senate doesn’t control that too!

How can we be so disagreeable and still call ourselves the United States of America? I think we are closer to scrambled eggs.
