WATERVILLE — A community recycling event is planned from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23, at the eWaste Alternatives’ Facility, 60 Industrial St.

The free electronic waste collection is for households, businesses, nonprofits and municipalities of fewer than 100 employees. Participants won’t even have to get out of their car, just pop the trunk and the electronics will be unloaded and sorted; some quick paperwork will be needed.

TV’s, computers, game consoles, wires and cables, cellphones, Christmas lights, VCRs, light fixtures, grills, batteries are among items that will be accepted. For a complete list of what can be recycled, visit www.ewastealternatives.org/communityrecycling.

This event is sponsored by eWaste Alternatives, a program of SKILLS inc., United Way and Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce.
