WATERVILLE — Junior Sonja Morse of South China fanned 20 and, for the second time this season, threw complete games in both halves of a North Atlantic Conference softball doubleheader as Thomas swept Johnson State, 12-1 and 5-1, on Sunday.

Morse scattered four hits in five innings while fanning eight and walking zero in the 12-1 Game 1 win. In the nightcap, she allowed two hits and a walk while striking out 12 to improve to 12-4 on the season for the Terriers (14-13, 7-1 NAC).

MAINE-FARMINGTON 9-15, LYNDON ST. 1-7: Meryle Bond of Jefferson went 7-for-8 with a home run and double in the Beavers’ NAC doubleheader sweep in Farmington.

Bond also drove in five runs and scored four for the Beavers (5-17, 2-9). Emily Vitone and Kailyn Hill picked up the wins in the circle.

ALBANY 5, MAINE 3: Kristen Niland and Meghan Royle each homered but the Black Bears still came up short in their series finale in Albany, N.Y.

HARTFORD 11, MAINE 4: Ben Bengston doubled and tripled and drove in three runs as Hartford completed an America East weekend sweep in Hartford.

Brenden Geary went 3-for-4 with a run scored to lead Maine (11-26, 2-9).

MAINE-FARMINGTON 13-8, NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE 3-3: Sean Cabaniss of Vassalboro went 3-for-5 with a run scored and RBI in Game 1 to help the Beavers sweep New England College in an NAC doubleheader in Henniker, New Hampshire.

Grayson Beressi went 2-for-4 with three runs scored to lead UMF to the 8-3 win in Game 2.

THOMAS 19-6, LYNDON ST. 7-2: Tristan Pena went 6-for-9 with three RBIs and two runs scored to lead Thomas to an NAC doubleheader sweep in Lyndon Center, Vermont.

Matt Rutherford and Nik Beeson picked up the victories on the mound for the Terriers (18-15, 12-8).
