RANGELEY — Zach Trafton singled to bring home Cal Crosby from third with the winning run as the Rangeley baseball team edged Buckfield 9-8 in eight innings Tuesday.

Kyle Larochelle had three singles and Bo Beaulieu had a double for the Lakers (5-2). Zach Clark finished with two hits in the win. Buckfield dropped to 3-5.

VALLEY 10, FOREST HILLS 0, 5 innings: Collin Miller tripled and Dillon Beane had two hits as the Cavaliers cruised to the East/West Conference victory in Bingham. Josh Brown pitched the complete game to earn the victory for Valley (3-1).

Forest Hills dropped to 0-6.

MONMOUTH 14, CARRABEC 0, 5 innings: Hunter Richardson had two hits, including a triple, and Chandler Harris doubled to lead the Mustangs to the Mountain Valley Conference victory. Monmouth (8-0) scored nine runs in the second inning to put the game out of reach.

RANGELEY 17, GPC 6, 6 innings: Kyle Larochelle had three hits, including a double, and the Lakers rolled to the East/West win in a game played Monday in Auburn.

GIRLS LACROSSE

CAMDEN HILLS 14, LAWRENCE 7: Katherine Orne scored five goals and Abbey O’Donal added two to lead the Windjammers (2-4) in Camden.

Cassandra Poli scored four goals and Reaghan Moody added two to lead the Bulldogs (0-6).

MESSALONSKEE 14, BRUNSWICK 3: Ally Turner and Lydia Dexter each scored four goals to lead the Eagles to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A victory Monday in Oakland. Nathalie St. Pierre had a goal and as many assists for Messalonskee (5-0).

MORSE 7, GARDINER 5: Amanda Gagne and Isabelle Paulus scored two goals to lead Morse past Gardiner in a KVAC lacrosse game in Gardiner.

Maddy Beaulieu and Bryce Smith led the Tigers with two goals each. Kaylin Mansir made 12 saves in net for Gardiner while Zenaide McCarthy stopped 12 shots for Morse.

SOFTBALL

TEMPLE 10, HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 9: Deleyni Carr had three hits and also pitched a complete game to lead Temple in an East/West game in Waterville.

Vanessa Currie had a double for Temple as well.

Temple improved to 3-3 while Highview Christian dropped to 1-4.
