The letter from writer Penny Morrell was badly informed (“Reject Obama’s nominee to Supreme Court,” May 10).

President Barack Obama’s nomination for the Supreme Court, Judge Merrick Garland, has impeccable credentials and was endorsed by Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine. Mitch McConnell’s obstructionist tactics are because he hates the president, and wants to let the next president nominate someone.

President-elect Hillary Clinton will either renominate him or someone much more radical. And then what?
