WASHINGTON — Gibbs Library, 40 Old Union Road, will present Szelog’s ‘Wild by Nature’ at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 4.

The multi-media presentation will feature the professional nature photographer team of Lee Ann Szelog and Thomas Mark Szelog.

Witness Maine’s imposing wildlife and natural landscape through thought-provoking narratives and remarkable photographs as the Szelogs guide participants into Maine’s great northern forest, its bold coast, and a typical backyard.

The Szelogs have won numerous local, regional and national awards for their photographs and have written and photographed two books, the multi-award-winning book, “Our Point of View — Fourteen Years at a Maine Lighthouse,” and “By a Maine River — A Year of Looking Closely.” They are founders of the Maine Woods National Park Photo — Documentation Project.

Lee Ann is the founder of Simply Put, LLC, specializing in helping people live life, rather than react to it, by providing a refreshing focus on attitude, human relations, collaboration and wellness (of our planet and ourselves).

Tom is the recipient of the Philip Hyde Award, presented annually to a photographer who is working to preserve the condition of the natural environment through the art of photography.

As passionate advocates for wildlife conservation, Tom and Lee are dedicated to sharing their words and photographs in narrated photography presentations and books to educate and inspire people about the important role our natural world plays in our lives.
