I have lived on the hill in Augusta for many years, and during that time I’ve known many public officials. Some have been helpful, and others made promises they never fulfilled. One of my favorites is Patsy Crockett. She has been very helpful to my family. My husband served with Patsy’s husband on the City Council, and as a legislator she always followed through when she agreed to help us.

Patsy was just appointed as a Kennebec County commissioner, taking the place of Beverly Daggett, who died last year. I think she is a good choice because of her public service experience and her years working with the Maine Sheriffs Association, and the County Commissioners Association. She understands the issues facing county government, and the options for solving those issues. I’m supporting her in the June primary, and hope other voters do so, too.
