CLINTON – Brian Bickford won the open seat on the town’s select board against Randy Clark Tuesday.
Bickford won with 210 votes to Clark’s 114.
Bickford works for the Public Works Department in Fairfield and did not respond to messages seeking an interview before the election. Personal contact information for Bickford was unavailable.
Clark, 66, was a selectman for about 12 years, but was not re-elected last year. Clark was also the chairman of the Clinton Water District board for more than 20 years during the 1970s and 1980s.
He’s lived in Clinton for 48 years and last worked at Downeast Energy for four years before retiring last year.
