HALLOWELL — The Harlow Gallery will continue its poetry series, The Bookey Readings at the Harlow, with Pam Burr Smith and Doug Woodsum at 7 p.m. Friday, June 17, at the gallery at 160 Water St.

The event will feature poetry readers and presenters. Pam Burr Smith won Honorable Mention in the Maine Poetry Chapbook Competition judged by Mary Oliver in 1993. She has published short stories, essays, articles and poems in journals and has one poetry book, “Heaven Jumping Woman,” Moon Pie Press, 2011. Her poetry has been anthologized in Take Heart, DownEast Books, 2013.

Douglas “Woody” Woodsum has published poetry in several poetry journals in Maine including Yankee and Maine Times, Puckerbrush Review, Café Review, and The Beloit Poetry Journal, as well as publications country wide: Prairie Schooner, Antioch Review, Denver Quarterly, Massachusetts Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and others. His work has been broadcast on Maine Public Radio. He is a former Ruth Lilly poet, two-time Avery Hopwood Award winner, a Maine Times fiction prizewinner, and a winner of the Bread Loaf Poetry Prize.
