About 150 people attended a noon vigil on the lawn of Colby College’s Miller Library to remember the victims of Sunday’s mass shooting in Orlando, Florida.

The vigil included prayers; a moment of silence; and speeches in support of the gay community, the victims and stronger gun laws.

The vigil was led by professor Kurt Nelson.

A vigil also was held Tuesday night at Veterans Park in Waterville, sponsored by Eqaulity Maine.

A third Waterville-area vigil is planned for 6:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Park in Fairfield.
