BOSTON — One person was killed and four more were injured in three separate shootings in Boston, all within a couple of hours.
The Boston Globe reports one person was shot and killed in the city’s Mattapan neighborhood at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in what police called a “barbeque gone awry.” Police say a second victim was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
A second shooting was reported at the intersection of Norfolk and Elizabeth streets in the Dorchester neighborhood. One person was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Two people were injured in a third shooting at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, also in Dorchester. One victim was taken to Boston Medical Center, while the other was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Their conditions weren’t immediately available Sunday morning.
