The Town of Carrabassett Valley has planed the following Fourth of July events at the Town Park:

• The pool/park, basketball courts and tennis courts will be open, weather permitting, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.;

• The Children’s Parade from the Tufulio’s Parking Lot feating Grand Marshall (The Great Stefan) will begin at 3 p.m.;

• Children’s sawdust pile and craft projects are set for 3:30-4:15 p.m.;

• Delectable Burritos made by Polly and Rob MacMichael of The Rolling Fatties will be available between 4 and 9 p.m.;

• Music will be provided by DJ Kompost from 4 to 9 p.m.;

• Children’s Fire truck rides with the Fire Chief and Fire Department Staff are set for 4:15-5:15 p.m.;

• Magic with the Great Stephan is planned for 4:30-5:30 p.m.;

• Balloon art with The Great Stephan is set for 5:30-6:30 p.m.;

• Fireworks by Central Maine Pyrotechnics will begin once it’s dark — approximately 9 p.m.

Feel free to bring a lawn chair, bug spray, towels, swimsuits, tennis rackets, tennis balls, Frisbees and sunscreen.
