WATERVILLE — Eight area students were named to the 2016 spring semester dean’s list for the 2015-16 academic year at Colby College for their outstanding academic achievement during the 2015-16 academic year.

• Xiaojie Chen, of Wilton, a 2016 graduate, attended Mount Blue High School. He is the son of Liting and Sumei Chen, of Wilton.

• Cameron C. Copeland, of Monmouth, a 2016 graduate, attended Monmouth Academy. He is the son of Shawn Copeland, of Leeds, and Sherry Copeland, of Auburn.

• Benjamin T. Crocker of Hallowell, a 2016 graduate, attended Hall-Dale High School. He is the son of Daniel and Christine Crocker, of Hallowell.

• Caitlin R. Farrington, of South China, a sophomore, attended Erskine Academy. She is the daughter of Neil and Doreen Farrington, of South China.

• Anna N. Herling, of Bowdoin, a 2016 graduate, attended Cheverus High School. She is the daughter of Douglas and Linda Herling, of Bowdoin.

• Megan J. Labbe, of Jay, a 2016 graduate, attended Spruce Mountain High School. She is the daughter of Tracy Arcari, of Jay, and Peter Labbe, of Jay.

• C. William Qualey IV, of Norridgewock, a 2016 graduate, attended Skowhegan Area High School. He is the son of Charles and Patricia Qualey, of Norridgewock.

• Colleen E. Wright, of Fayette, a freshman, attended Maranacook Community School. She is the daughter of James and Mary Wright, of Fayette.

Twenty-four percent of the student body, 452 students, qualified for Colby’s dean’s list this semester by earning a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
