WINSLOW — A building at 2 Lithgow St. most recently used for storage was torn down recently, a little less than a year after a new owner acquired it.
Jeremy Marcoux, the owner of JM Excavation in Winslow, said he bought the property near the corner of Bay and Lithgow streets in April. He doesn’t have any current plans for the lot.
Marcoux, who lives in Winslow, said he owns several lots along Bay Street in Winslow and buys vacant lots for the land.
L&M Salvage in Sidney took down the building for Marcoux starting in late May and will sell or reuse the parts. The material should be out this week, Marcoux said, and after that he’ll clean up the lot.
The building was owned previously by Fortin’s Home Furnishings and used for storage.
