JACKMAN — Forest Hills High School class of 2106 approved to award the final balance in its account to the Forest Hills Music Program and to the Jackman Regional Community Association. Each group received more than $1,000, according to a news release from Forest Hills School.
The class chose to give to the music program for the purchase, repair and maintenance of musical instruments.
In choosing to give to the Jackman Regional Community Association, the class wants t support youth programs they once participated in and benefited from — preschool and summer sports programs. “We have fond memories of playing tee ball/baseball and hope to see this continue in the future. We also know the benefit of a good education and the preschool provides the children of this community with a great start,” a class spokesperson said, according to the release.
Members of the class of 2016 are Kira Bishop, Andy Gilbert, Forrest Griffin, Jessica Hoyt, Mikayla Mackey, Ian McKendry, David O’Sickey, Linda Riley, Tyler Riley, Austin Wesson, Brant Worster and Tyler Hoyt. Natalie Costello is class advisor.
