AUGUSTA — The Augusta Downtown Alliance and local food producers from the Farmers Market at Mill Park will host its farm-to-table dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, in Market Square Park.

The meal will include five courses, including local breads, cheeses, bruschetta, salad, a choice of Chicken Galantine or Summer Vegetable Primavera, and blueberry bread pudding and ice cream novelties for dessert.

The menu for the event will be made with Maine-grown ingredients, and the farmers who grew the ingredients will be on hand as well to talk about their experiences farming in Maine. And to double-down on localness, the meal will be cooked by chefs from Water Street establishments: Ehrin Simanski from Lisa’s Legit Burritos, Wyatt Shorey and Steven Dumas of Aunt Gin’s and the soon-to-open Otto’s by the River, and Tina Charest from Charlemagne’s Bar and Lounge. A cash bar will be provided by the folks from Charlemagne’s. There will also be entertainment by Michael Reny, vocalist and contemporary acoustic guitarist.

Tickets for this event are only $50, and can be purchased online at farmtotableaugusta.com, or in person from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Farmers Market at Mill Park, also at the Augusta Downtown Alliance office, Lisa’s Legit Burritos, or at the farm stores of 47 Daisies in Vassalboro or Olde Haven Farm in Chelsea.
