A Phillips man was arrested Monday by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, charged with assaulting a woman in Phillips.
Duane Pinkham, 59, was arrested at his residence in Phillips and charged with gross sexual assault, a class C felony, and unlawful sexual contact, a class D misdemeanor, according to a Tuesday news release from Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols.
Pinkham’s arrest came after sheriff’s department Lt. David St. Laurent received a complaint of a sexual assault on a woman last Wednesday. The assault allegedly occurred Aug. 6 in Phillips, Nichols said. Pinkham was arrested after an investigation by St. Laurent and Chief Deputy Steven Lowell.
