Speaking Up for Us of Maine will hold its annual statewide conference Sept. 20-21 at Sugarloaf Mountain Resort in Kingfield.
For those who are not currently a member of Speaking Up For Us of Maine, the conference is a great way to meet other people with disabilities, who share a passion for equality and the right to choose lives for ourselves that we want, and also have a lot of fun/
This year’s theme is Health and Fitness, so there will be a wide variety of workshops and events designed to get hearts pumping, bodies moving, and brains learning about living a healthier lifestyle.
The statewide self-advocacy organization is for people living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
