The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will present the second annual Western Mountain Photography Show Sept. 23-25: a multi-faceted weekend celebrating photography and photographers.
The weekend will include these components:
A Juried Competition with awards — the theme is “Antique,” and photographers may submit up to three images to earn cash prizes in two categories: Color, and Black and White, as well as for Best Overall. Photographers interested in submitting work should visit www.rangeleyarts.org. The digital submission deadline is Sept. 11.
The Juried Exhibit will be on display from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in the Banquet Room of the Rangeley Inn and Tavern.
Awards Reception is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. A catered, public event where all of the accepted images will be on display and the winners will be announced and cash prizes awarded.
Photography Show and Sale is set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, outside the entrance to the Juried show; rain or shine.
