SKOWHEGAN — Jan Eakins, researcher and author, will be the featured speaker at the annual Heritage Harvest Tea set for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Skowhegan History House Museum & Research Center, 66 Elm St.

Eakins will talk about her study of Maine families and the California Gold Rush.

Attendees can examine various collections and exhibits in the museum and on the Riverside Lawns. Music will be provided by Allan Foxwell & Company and refreshments will be provided by the Bloomfield Garden Club,

The free event is co-sponsored by the Skowhegan History House Museum & Research Center and the Bloomfield Garden Club.
